Tiny House III
The third little house...this one has 2 doors and pathways, a different styled roof, and new types of flower bushes. The roof was a little tricky but I like how it turned out. :)

Chocolate Chip Cookies
Who can resist chocolate chip cookies?? Well apparently no one in our house...as soon as these were on the plate, they didn't last long! :P The secret to big chewy cookies is using melted-then-cooled butter (instead of just mixing in softened stick butter) and an extra egg yolk! :) They're also hand-formed to give them their round shape. :) Happy cookie making!

Asian Noodle Salad
This is the world's best asian noodle salad. I'm not sure what it's really called, but that's what I'm calling it because to me, that's what it is. :) It takes less than 10 minutes to make, including cooking the noodles! That's fast! The only downside is that you have to let it get cold in the fridge before you can eat it. :( And that's not an easy task! The recipe makes a rather large amount and is perfect as-is for a potluck or wedding type function where you need a lot. The above photo is only HALF of the recipe. Below is the full version, feel free to half it like I did. :) p.s. thank you to t.m. for the recipe!! ;)
Asian Noodle Salad:
2 cups soy sauce, 2 cups teryaki sauce, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup sesame oil. Mix all together. Add 3 lb. hot angel hair pasta noodles (cooked). Mix well. Dice 2 bunches of green onion and add to pasta. Add 1 cup crushed-up peanuts and sprinkle with a tablespoon or two of sesame seeds. Mix and refridgerate. Stir twice while chilling. Noodles will absorb liquid. Enjoy when chilled. :)

Garden Girl
Today was just beautiful outside!! The perfect day to go to the park or work in the garden. :) This is a little garden/plant pick just to bring a little color to the greenery. She is handmade from polymer clay complete with a purple dress and pretty pink bow in her hair! And she's listed up on my Etsy with even more pictures. :)

Drink Coasters
I love these...hand-painted and mod-podged drink coasters made from terra-cotta clay pot saucers. The bottoms are lined with felt so they don't scratch up what they sit on and so they can stack together without clinking. I am loving the plaid and stripes on them! Going up on my Etsy today if you'd like to see more pictures. :)

Tiny House II
I enjoyed making the first little house so much, this one wasn't far behind. :) A similar box/style house but different flowers, windows, wall and roof textures, walkway, coloring, etc. There is one more I'm working on that is also along the same lines.. not quite finished yet but if it's picture-worthy when it is, I'll post it. :) This one went up on my Etsy (and there are more pictures on there if you're interested in taking a peek).

Triple Salted Caramel Cupcakes
This post almost makes me want to eat my monitor... these cupcakes were the result of trying a few recipes and finally settling on one I found over at www.sprinklebakes.com It is one of the best recipes I've ever found online...one that actually comes out exactly how you expect it to when you follow directions to a "T". Even the fancy-schmancy candies on top! If you are in the mood for a real treat, head over there and grab up this recipe! :) I guarantee you will love it!

Old fashioned bonnet
This hat project was something I'd wanted to do for a really long time. My great-grandmother gave me the hat (green with paisley on the left) when I was really young and I decided to try and duplicate it with a more updated fabric. It was made of 2 pieces...the main portion and then the brim which buttons to it. You could even turn the main portion over and have it be 'reversible' (the brim would stay the orignal color you choose since it has the buttons sewn on). Here is the original and the one I made. I liked how it turned out so much, I may try to make more later on and see if I can get more pictures of the step-by-step process. :)

Quilted Table Runner
I made this little quilted table-runner in a few hours one day when I was trying to think of a nice handmade Mother's day gift. :) I'm not very good at sewing (yet) but these little projects are great for practice! I want to say this might be the 4th or 5th thing I've ever sewn in my life on a machine. All in all, I think it turned out pretty good. :) Plus it was a great way to use up some of those leftover fabric scraps I tend to hang on to!

Donut Purse
And in honor of National Donut Day (I think that's today...correct me if I'm wrong...) here we have a donut purse! :) Complete with miniature clay charm! These are really fun to make and quite simple- even for a mostly-non-sewer like myself. And you can change it up in a million different ways to make it unique. :)

Charms, Charms, and more Charms!
You want fries to go with that? :D Itty-bitty polymer clay charms all handmade and put onto a bracelet with a toggle clasp. I love this one! So far, I think it's got some of my favorite pieces on it. :) For sale in my Etsy shop, too, if you're interested! ;) (And did I mention...calorie-free???)
as of 6/4/10 this one is SOLD! :)

Tiny House
A teeny house all hand-made in polymer clay! :) This was roughly 6 hours of baking time, and about the same of 'clay-working' time. All worth it, though...for a first one, I think it came out pretty well. P.S. Ignore the espresso machine in the background that just *had* to have its picture taken, too....lol
