Hello :) Attempting to sneak a post in before midnight again! I worked on this project for the past 3 days off and on and am finally finished with it. I bought an inexpensive composition book at the store and wanted to make a cover for it that would stay closed with a button and also hold a pen. I'm going to be using this one to write down my crochet patterns, ideas, etc...a note-keeper for me. 
This is the back side of it...tough to see in the photo, but it's a dark purple. The front side was a variegated yarn with purples and greens...all of it is done in 100% cotton.

I purposely made it only over a few inches, which is just enough to keep it on...and then did a little strip in the dark purple to make sure it was secure, but also to be able to stick other papers or loose patterns into if I choose.The entire thing was done in single crochet rows mixed with crossed-double crochet rows. The pattern I just made up as I was going along.
I have also worked on a smaller moleskine book cover which I am hoping to finish tonight and will have a pattern for in the next day or two to share. :)
